A B O L D Story…

As a kid, founder RetroTarantino always had a love and passion for film. Growing up in the mountains of Virginia & later Tennessee, he developed an understanding of how pictures/movies were made and fell in love with cameras. He has said that his mother would have him hold the video camera when filming home movies or taking pictures of family during the holidays, which enjoyed. He then said that she would often complain when watching the recorded footage, saying that he was doing too much. Apparently, she was not a fan of artistic zooms, pans or unique angles.

“I do not like simple in terms of visuals. I like attention grabbing. What separates a person’s work to me, at the end of the day is perspective. I have been recognized for my sense of vision and detail & I NEVER would have gotten that by being simple”.

Having an eye for visuals and a love for cinema helps RetroTarantino to see what elements can & will look nice together. His sense of direction, helps to create a story that can be told from a picture.

“Once I realized I had created my own unique style, it was time to give it a name. BOLD comes from me being me, & the fact that all of my life I have stood out. I like bold images and the use of bold contrast. Incorporating this into my work make, I feel, make the images pop and stand out. I follow the B.O.L.D. motto every time I work, "Brave. Observant. Lucid. Distinctive."

His love and passion for film and the technology behind it sparked at an early age. He quickly developed a friendship with technology and found an escape through cinema. As a profound result, R3Tr0 naturally stood out as a child. Having an immensely vivid imagination, he naturally blurred the line between imagination and reality. His out-of-the-ordinary take on life and passion for film-making drove him to attend school for video production. In addition, he has been featured on several websites, designed images and logos for businesses and has even participated in an Art Show Case during Art Basel Week in Miami Fl. He recently created a clothing line to showcase his art work. Dorion continues to make strides towards his dream and anxiously awaits his future with great ambition.
